The legacy of HR^® Lubricating Jelly™ dates back to 1925, when Margaret Sanger and J. Noah Slee began Holland & Rantos. For 79 years, the HR^® brand has been an industry icon throughout the medical world. The mission to bring HR^® Lubricating Jelly™ back to market began in April of 2007 after a five-year hiatus. The HR^® Brand has been in commerce since 1931; HR^® was the original "Vaginal Jelly" successfully being marketed for over 70 years.

After thirty-plus months of historical and distribution research dating back to the early 1920's, on January 19, 2010 we achieved the Preamendment Status for HR^® Lubricating Jelly™. To further our goal of superiority, on June 1, of 2010, we received Kosher certification from the Orthodox Union. On November 12, 2010, we became ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certified for the design and manufacturing of HR^® Lubricating Jelly™.

We source the best pharmaceutical grade ingredients followed by a production profile in accordance with the requirements of 21 CFR Part 820, Good Manufacturing Practices - cGMP & Quality Systems Requirements (QRS) for Medical Devices.

History:

The Holland-Rantos Company and all of its product lines was first sold to the Youngs Rubber Company in the 1940’s, in 1985 the HR brand was again sold to the Carter Wallace Company. Carter Wallace was sold in 1999 and HR^® Lubricating Jelly ceased production soon thereafter.

After several years of research, in 2007, HR Pharmaceutical, LLC (the parent company of HR Pharmaceuticals, Inc.) was formed, and acquired the patents, trademarks, formulas and other intellectual property associated with the HR^® Brand. HR Pharmaceuticals, Inc. resumed production of HR^® Lubricating Jelly initially for veterinarian applications in 2009. The HR^® Lubricating Jelly cherished by Medical Professionals and Consumers will be available to the U.S. market again in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Used in commerce since 1931, this “HR” Trademark is the original “Vaginal Jelly” that has been on the market for over 70 years. HR Pharmaceutical, LLC will relaunch this product utilizing the history of this famous trademark in 2009. Clinical studies were conducted at North Carolina State University in February and those findings will be published in the Journal of Reproduction.

This “HR” trademark will be used to define the future of HR Pharmaceutical, Inc. in that our flagship product HR Lubricating Jelly will forge the way to develop various pharmaceutical preparations & medicinal creams for personal and acute care purposes. HR Pharmaceutical, LLC will concentrate on the Acute Care, OBGYN & Physician markets to develop, manufacture & distribute the highest grade pharmaceutical and OTC preparations.
